American Benedictine Musicians circa 1990 began, sometime after 2000 joined with Benedictine Musicians of the Americas and now they are the combined entity known as the Monastic Liturgy Forum. In summer 2009, MLF and ABM became the Monastic Worship Forum.

The American Benedictine Academy, founded in 1947, is a non-profit association whose purpose is to cultivate, support and transmit the Benedictine heritage within contemporary culture. The Academy sponsors and promotes disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research, writing and collaboration among its members. It serves as a catalyst inviting men and women to ponder creatively and to discuss the challenges to Benedictine values in the twenty-first century.
