Families of sisters who died within the past year are invited back to the monastery for Evening Prayer and dinner. The purpose is to renew acquaintances and to build lasting relationships, in addition to paying respect for the deceased sisters.

Sister Mary Walter died in an automobile accident on February 26, 1990.

Sister Magdalene Roberts, O.S.B., a member of Queen of Peace Monastery, died on October 12, 1991. Sister is buried in St. Ann's Cemetery, Belcourt, North Dakota.

Sister Mary Helen died of cancer after a long battle with the disease during the Winter of 1998.

List carries the name of a deceased sister, place from where she entered, date of entry, age at the time of her entry, year of death, and age at the time of her death. The list is used daily in the Liturgy of the Hours, Evening praise as the community commemorates the faithful departed on that day.
