The Benedictine Hospitality Center was the idea of Sister Barbara Lynn Schmitz, who gathered the money for the Center by personal solicitations for the most part. Seufert Construction was contracted to complete the renovation of the East quadrangle (former guest department). Construction began in 2017 with completion and blessing taking place in the summer of 2018.

The manual contains names of sub-contractors, warranties, and drawings, all pertaining to the renovation of the guest department, now known as the Benedictine Hospitality Center.
