Camp Marian was developed during Mother Clarissa Riehl's administration as a "getaway" place for the sisters. According to Albert Krampe's annual log, the shelterhouse was opened and blessed July 26, 1954.

This camp was initiated in summer, 2001. Sister Jenny Schmitt, assistant vocation director, was director of the program.
