These directories give the history of the Catholic parishes in Harrison County, Indiana. The Ferdinand Benedictines were the first teachers at St. Joseph School, 1953: Sisters Mary John Roehl, Mary Raymond Obert (Beech Grove), Wilfrieda Effing (Beech Grove) (all deceased). In 1993, the following Ferdinand Benedictines worked at the Parish and school: Sisters Ann Marie Howard, Linda Bittner, Joyce Marie Newton.

Notre Dame Academy was founded in 2004. Sister Catherine Duenne, O.S.B. joined the staff in 2005. Sister Catherine lived at St. Helen's Parish in a home rented by the Ferdinand Benedictines.
