This news magazine is produced by the monastery communications office as a public information piece for the Sisters of St. Benedict.

The first purpose of this book is to present doctrinal truths in an interesting way at a grade 1 level.

IN FORMATION was the community in-house news letter from June, 1970, through September 12, 1988.

ILLUMINATIONS is published periodically for friends of the sisters to provide practical information on philanthropic and financial planning issues.

A person can become a partner of St. Benedict by making a tax-deductible gift to the Sisters of St. Benedict Annual Fund at different levels.

The persons who appear in the brochures are those who have supported the sisters' retirement fund and who present their testimony to the sisters and the work they have done.

This book was prepared by the Sisters of St. Benedict for use at Monastery Immaculate Conception, Ferdinand, Indiana. Music was collected from various sources.

KLOSTERLICHE BRAUCHE appears only in Copy 3 (black binding) of ANWENDUNG. A copy of the original was not made for this file to avoid handling the original.

SOMMERFRUCHTE was written by one (perhaps two) unidentified Ferdinand Benedictines. The English translation was done by Eberhard Reichmann and Ruth Reichmann, friends of the Ferdinand sisters.

IT'S WHAT WE DO is published annually to inform publics concerning the ministries of the Ferdinand Benedictines.

This book of liturgical music was used by Sister Theresita Schenk, O.S.B. (Laundry No. 329), monastery organist.

These booklets cover corporate planning, long-range planning, and strategic planning.

Periodically, the monastery and academy have published yearly calendars, picturing areas of the campus.

The Guidebooks, published at least one time every two years, contain information used priceless to the users of archival information.

This publication was initiated in April, 2002. Sisters Anita Louise Lowe, Jenny Schmitt, and Sister Mary Carmen Spayd were vocation staff members.

There was a similar emergency preparedness plan for Marian Heights Academy which may be found in the academy collection.

CATCH UPS publication was initiated in 2014.

DIE TAUBE was the first community newsheet for the nuns living on mission. Originally handwritten in German, DIE TAUBE was translated by Sister Dolorosa Hasenour, O.S.B., in the late 1990's.

This news sheet is produced by the monastery development office for employees of the monastery. The content is focused on the employees. Employee newsletter, 1 complete set, issued quarterly since 1986, Ferdinand, 1986 to present. 2000 title changed to Employee newsletter.

Several chapel brochures have been published over the decades for information and explanatory purposes for visitors to the chapel.

This commentary on the Holy Rule of St. Benedict was compiled and dis- tributed to each sister during Mother Clarissa Riehl's administration.

This campaign was held to raise funds for the renovation of St. Benedict Hall. The architect was Gene Hausman; the principal contractor was Streicher Construction Company of Jasper, Indiana.

The publications advisory board preceded the Communications Committee.

These programs were designed by members of the liturg staff and printed in-house.

This is a first draft of SOMMERFRUCHTE, written in the late 1800's. Translated by Eberhard Reichmann in 2001-2002, this brief history became a pattern for Sommerfruchte final draft which was written by an unknown member of the community.

The psalms are marked with tones for chanting.

These hymns were copied for use at the organ in the monastery church.

This traditional liturgical music (lyrics and notations) was handwritten by Sister Cyrilla Myers, O.S.B.

These are favorite music selections of the sisters, used at various celebrations and significant events.

This is a publication printed by the Monastery Print Shop, carrying the sisters' birthdays, namesdays (feastdays), and death dates.

This informal booklet is made up of warm anecdotes about deceased sisters of the monastery.

This little booklet, DAILY BREAD FOR THE LITTLE ONES, is written in German. A Ferdinand Benedictine seems to have been the author.

The Monastery Archives were relocated in the summer of 1995.

The monastery established its mission advancement (development department) in the mid 1980's. A department first formal report to donors was published in 1985-1986. The academy had its development department from 1972-1989.

The memorial program was designed to give persons an opportunity to honor their deceased loved ones by a contribution to the Sisters of St. Benedict.

The Planned Giving Program provides opportunities for donors to make future gifts to the Sisters of St. Benedict.

The 2011 recipe book, "Morsels and Chuckles from the Monastery," was compiled by and produced by Sister Rosa Lee Koch, Sister Mary Francis Williams, and Sister Charlene Ann Wheeless. The art work was done by Sister Jane Becker. It was printed by the Monastery print shop. No compilers are listed for the 2006 recipe book, "More Morsels from the Monastery," but it was also printed by the Monastery print shop. Both recipe books were offered for sale through the Monastery gift shop, For Heaven's Sake. This file also contains some loose copies of recipes from the monastery.

This is a collection of The Dome publications about the Sisters of St. Benedict, their lives, their ministries, their work and prayer.

The Email TUESDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS TO DEANERIES was initiated in 2001. Thursday Catch-Ups are in B021. This box contains 2001 to 2005. Later editions include TUESDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS and FRIDAY CATCH-UPS.

As the researcher can see, some copies of THE DOVE were missing and thought to be destroyed for over 10 years.

THE DOVE served as the monastery's internal monastic news source from 1903-1984. It preceded INFORMATION and WINGS. Sister Dolorosa Hasenour translated the DIE TAUBE into English. A copy of the original is preserved for handling and research.
