Known as the "Great Flood," the 1937 flood devastated cities along the Ohio River, particularly.

The Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand were participants in this festival with a number of items in the exhibit.

This brief sketch follows the Haake-Logsdon families from 1826 to 1985. The Haakes owned and published The FERDINAND NEWS. THE FERDINAND NEWS celebrated its 100th anniversary in August 2006.
