Note
Elfrieda Lang wrote this paper on the occasion of the dedication of Kundek Street in Ferdinand in 1988 at the Kundek Sunday Symposium hosted by the Ferdinand Historical Society and held partially in Madonna Hall at Marian Heights Academy. This is a well documented paper on the life and work of Father Joseph Kundek, early pioneer and founder of Ferdinand and several parishes in Dubois County.
