Benedictine sisters (from Indianapolis, according to the book) staffed the parochial school in Putnam County until 1955. (See page 73).
When the Benedictines began in the school is unknown, nor is there any record of which sisters were there. The book contains one photo of a first communion class with Sister Victoria(?) and Sister Mary Bernard (Knust?), the third sister is unidentified. After 1955, the school was staffed by Providence sisters.

This magazine tells the story of St. Michael Church, Madison, Indiana. Ferdinand Benedictines took over the school in 1904; Providence Sisters from Terra Haute taught there prior to 1904.
