Is Sister Principal prepared to fully run the school in the next school year?

    Typed paper with notice for beginning in September 1968, the parish's responsibility for sisters' pay and annual increments, as well as housing, health insurance, payment of utilities, organist's stipend and salary for housekeeper; also lists what the sisters will be responsible for financially - handwritten note indicates this was given to Mother Julia from Superintendent of Catholic Schools, dated July 16, 1968

Frederick Walsh, OSB, in re a request for an oratory in the Walsh residence in Ferdinand; the diocese "hereby erect the designated room in the Walsh residence at Ferdinand, Indiana as a semi-public oratory" and to offer Mass there; the time frame for this permission is in force as long as Fr. Frederick Walsh ins in good standing and in residence in this home. (The home was on the property of Monastery Immaculate Conception and provided residence for Mr. and Mrs. Walsh and Fr. Frederick)

Clinton Hirsch, Vicar for Religious, Diocese of Evansville, dated August 7, 1968, to Sister Superior and all the sisters in re the results of a survey conducted in May, 1968 relative to Sisters' Confessions and Confessors; there is also an attached letter from Bishop Paul Leibold, with new directives to all the priests in the diocese with new directives for Sisters' Confessions and Confessors

Shea, Bishop of Diocese of Evansville, dated April 17, 1973, to Sr. Mary Clare Scheessele, Subprioress at Convent Immaculate Conception in re reserving the Blessed Sacrament at Benet Hall in the manner previously discussed, and that Mass need not be offered there on a regular basis; also the Bishop does know of any unused Tabernacle that may be available, suggested sisters working in parishes might have some leads

    Typed letter from Sr. Mary Clare Scheessele, subprioress, dated April 24, 1973 to Most Rev. Francis R. Shea, Bishop of Diocese of Evansville, in re acknowledgement of Bishop Shea's previous letter (see above) and gratitude for his gracious acceptance of the request for the Blessed Sacrament to be kept at Benet Hall; also, the sisters have looked for an unused tabernacle, to no avail and would be grateful if a request were to be put in the Message for an unused tabernacle.

Permission is granted; Msgr. Hirsch then identifies the requirements for delegation and recording of the marriage.

Shea, Bishop of Diocese of Evansville, dated March 29, 1974, to Mother Carlita Koch in re a response to arrangement for sisters teaching at Ireland, IN, wherein the sisters pay rent for their occupancy of the convent and in return will be paid a salary for their services in teaching in the CCD program. Bishop Shea asked that Mother Carlita give it a try for one year; if all goes well, suggest it as a diocesan policy
