    Note

Father Peter Yock was one of a team of Ferdinand Benedictine chaplains from St. Meinrad at the time he presented this book as a gift to the archives. Father Peter states that the St. Meinrad monks came to the Vincennes Diocese to transplant a church, "...yet create a new one." By the end of the 19th century the monks had achieved their initial aim of keeping Catholics Catholic."
