THE SACRAMENTARY was retired and sent to the archives November 26, 2011, First Sunday of Advent. At the time the revised sacramentary with the English translation revisions became effective.

An eight volume printed set of THE SCHOOL OF THE LORD'S SERVICE is located in the Rare Books Collection, Room 114.

Sister Kathryn Huber, O.S.B., prioress of Monastery Immaculate Conception, Ferdinand, Indiana, appears on this tape.

The 1954 SPIRIT is the centennial issue (1854-1954) of this publication. The St. Meinrad schools have been restructured.

Henry Kress was the father of Cecelia M. Ploetner, an Academy Immaculate Conception Alumna.

Helfta, a center of intellectual activity in thireenth-century Saxony, was the site of a Cistercian monastery, a religious community that included the mystics Gertrude the Great, Mechtild of Hackeborn, and Mechtilde of Magdeburg.

These beautiful plates were at one time in the Academy's library.

Virginia Harter, genealogist, was Virginia Gehlhausen of Ferdinand, Sister Sylvia Gehlhausen's sister.

This commentary on the Holy Rule of St. Benedict was compiled and dis- tributed to each sister during Mother Clarissa Riehl's administration.

"Time Made Holy" contains original selections composed by members of Stillpoint. There are four master Stillpoint tapes and the sheet music for "Time Made Holy," recorded by Gaither Studios, Alexandria, Indiana in June 1999.

Robert Tinker from the educational consulting firm, Gonser Gerber Tinker Shuhr, helped set up the MHA development department.

The Monastery used this for the first time as a supplemental source of hymns for Mass in 1978-1979.

The Monastery was in the path of the Total Solar Eclipse. The Sisters offered space for interested persons to view the 4.5 minute eclipse on April 8, 2024. The materials included in this file give a description of the process and the happenings on that day.

Many of these photographs were gifts from Mr. Wilfred Olinger, a long-time Ferdinand oral history citizen.

After St. Benedict College became separately incorporated, the Sisters of St. Benedict transferred assets (furniture and equipment) to it.

The mortgage was held by The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, Chicago, Illinois.

The Ferdinand Benedictines, seemingly have no written transfer policy. See "Finding Aids" for names of transfers and the places from which they transferred. Sister Maria Tasto at one time worked with setting up transfer guidelines.

These are files of sisters who transferred their stability to one of the Ferdinand monastery daughterhouses.

This video was designed to educate religious congregations about retirement needs.

Trilogy planned to and did build a new facility in Ferdinand-on monastery property- which opened in 2018, and replaced the older Scenic Hills downtown. The new facility is called Scenic Hills at the Monastery. Trilogy is a for-profit organization.

During this visitation, Sister Kristine Anne Harpenau, prioress, led the community through a discernment process to determine the dependent priory's next superior.

These magazines were given to Sister Jayn Lein who sent them to the archives.

Joan Ohanneson's lecture was the second of a two-part series, "Journeying with Hildegard," celebrating the 900th anniversary of her birth.

These celebrations were based on years of profession.

These sets of dishes, silverware, and crystal were brought to the monastery after the Van Buren House was sold on July 17, 1997.

A task force was appointed by the Monastic Council in 2013. The first task was to try to reduce the number of monastery vehicles. New information concerning monastery vehicles was emailed in early 2015.

These books are representative of the Latin although most of the booklets are in English. The books were producted the the Sisters of the Precious Blood. They contain novenas in preparation for Pentecost. (Confirmation, Ordination, and Marriage).

Families of sisters who died within the past year are invited back to the monastery for Evening Prayer and dinner. The purpose is to renew acquaintances and to build lasting relationships, in addition to paying respect for the deceased sisters.

These articles, made at the monastery, were used in the infirmary chapel through the year 2000.
