To accommodate better the Kordes Enrichment Center, studies were made concerning moving the operation to Benet Hall, a larger building.

Kordes Hall was built initially for housing St. Benedict College students.

The focus of this facility project/study was to determine ways to make Kordes Hall handicap accessible. Projections included an elevator or creating an outside entrance to the lower level. Kordes' future ability to generate revenue was contingent on making the building and all of its facilities handicap accessible as most groups had at least 1 person unable to negotiate steps.

Kordes Hall was built as a St. Benedict College residence hall. It became the Kordes Enrichment Center in 1978 and the Kordes Retreat Center in the early 2000's.

Because of financial losses at KEC in previous years, a task force was formed to look for new directions for the Center.

Because of financial limitations, initially only an elevator was installed in Kordes Hall (Kordes Retreat Center).

This was a study of the costs to continue the Kordes Enrichment Center ministry in Kordes Hall or to move the ministry to Benet Hall.

An owner of Seufert Construction Company, Leo Seufert, acted as main overseer of this Kordes project.-

These permissions to borrow money were made during Sister Julia Goebel's administration.

In right-sizing facilities, in planning to renovate older buildings, and in planning to move all community activitivites to the main building - St. Benedict Hall, the quadrangle, and St. Jospeh Annex - relocation of sisters began in early 2010.
